At Home Care Coverages, we are committed to providing homeowners with reliable, comprehensive coverage for home systems and appliances. This Home Warranty Policy outlines the terms and conditions of our warranty services, including the coverage, limitations, and exclusions. By purchasing or subscribing to a home warranty plan with us, you agree to the following terms.

1. Overview of Home Warranty Services

Home Care Coverages offers coverage for the repair or replacement of various home systems and appliances that may break down due to normal wear and tear. Our plans are designed to provide peace of mind by helping you manage the costs of unexpected home system and appliance repairs. The specific coverage and services available will depend on the warranty plan you select.

2. Covered Systems and Appliances

Depending on the plan you choose, our Home Warranty Services may cover the following systems and appliances:

  • Heating and Cooling Systems: Central heating, air conditioning units, and related components.
  • Plumbing: Pipes, faucets, water heaters, and other plumbing systems.
  • Electrical: Wiring, circuit breakers, outlets, and switches.
  • Kitchen Appliances: Refrigerator, oven, stove, microwave, dishwasher, and garbage disposal.
  • Laundry Appliances: Washing machine, dryer.
  • Optional Add-Ons: Additional coverage for items like pools, spas, or septic systems may be available as an add-on to your plan.

Specific coverage details, limitations, and exclusions for each system or appliance are outlined in your individual warranty agreement.

3. What’s Covered

Under the Home Care Coverages plan, the following are typically covered:

  • Repair or Replacement: If a covered system or appliance breaks down due to normal wear and tear, we will repair or replace it based on the terms of your warranty.
  • Parts and Labor: We cover the cost of necessary parts and labor for covered repairs or replacements.
  • Licensed Contractors: All repairs and replacements will be performed by licensed and qualified professionals authorized by Home Care Coverages.

4. What’s Not Covered

While we provide comprehensive coverage, there are certain exclusions. Our Home Warranty Services do not cover:

  • Pre-existing Conditions: Problems that existed before the effective date of your warranty are not covered.
  • Misuse or Neglect: Damage caused by improper maintenance, misuse, or neglect of the system or appliance.
  • Cosmetic Issues: Any cosmetic damage (e.g., dents, scratches) to appliances or systems.
  • Non-Home Use: Systems or appliances that are used for commercial purposes or outside the home environment.
  • Code Violations: If a system or appliance is not up to local building codes, repairs or replacements may not be covered.
  • Acts of Nature: Damage caused by environmental factors like floods, fires, or natural disasters.

Please review the full list of exclusions in your warranty agreement to understand the specific limitations of your coverage.

5. Claim Process

To request service under your home warranty plan, follow these steps:

  1. Submit a Service Request: Contact us via phone, email, or our online portal to submit a claim. You will need to provide details about the issue and the system or appliance in question.

  2. Service Provider Assignment: We will assign an approved, licensed contractor to inspect and assess the situation. In some cases, a service fee or deductible may be required.

  3. Evaluation: The assigned contractor will evaluate the problem, determine if it is covered under your plan, and provide recommendations for repair or replacement.

  4. Repair or Replacement: If the claim is approved, we will arrange for repairs or, if necessary, replacement of the covered item.

Note: You are responsible for any fees not covered by your plan, including but not limited to service call fees, diagnostic fees, and additional charges for repairs outside the scope of your coverage.

6. Service Fees and Deductibles

Each service request will incur a service fee, which varies depending on your plan. This fee is payable when the contractor arrives to assess the issue. The amount of the service fee and any deductibles will be outlined in your individual home warranty agreement.

7. Renewal and Cancellation

  • Renewal: Your home warranty plan may be automatically renewed at the end of each term unless you notify us of your intention not to renew. We will send you a renewal reminder with the updated terms and pricing before the renewal date.

  • Cancellation: You may cancel your warranty plan at any time by providing written notice. If you cancel within the first 30 days of coverage, you may be eligible for a full refund (minus any fees incurred). After 30 days, cancellations may be subject to a pro-rated refund based on the length of time the policy was in effect.

8. Limitations of Liability

Home Care Coverages ’s liability is limited to the repair or replacement of the covered systems or appliances under the terms of your home warranty plan. We are not responsible for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages that may arise from a breakdown or failure to repair or replace a covered item.

9. Modifications to Coverage

We reserve the right to modify or update the terms of your coverage at any time. If any significant changes are made to the warranty terms or coverage options, we will notify you in advance. You will have the option to review and accept the updated terms.
